Angela SieferAngela Siefer
Founder & Social Technologist

Angela envisions a world in which all members of society have the tools and the resources to use the internet for the betterment of themselves and their communities. Angela's MA in Sociology, her geeky interest in technology and her tendency toward overachieving make for one empire building social networking entrepreneur.

Angela is her own success story. She attributes a good deal of her success to having a strong network (both online and offline). Angela's experience lies in education, small business, nonprofits. Over the past ten years she has served as the Vice President of Business Development at Lumifi, a software startup offering an online collaborative research portal, the Executive Director of Grassroots.org, a national nonprofit providing capacity building services to small and medium size nonprofits and the Executive Director of the Ohio Community Computing Network, a statewide organization promoting the efforts of community technology programs to bridge the digital divide.

Angela very much believes in the power of community. She has served on multiple voluntary boards including the Public Interest Registry.  Angela is also the proud bearer of both a Black Belt in TaeKwonDo and a Green Belt in Krav Maga.

Dan SimrakDan Simrak
Social Technologist

Ever since Dan decided 7 years ago that the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow wasn’t for him, he has been working in the non-profit sector trying to make the world a better place.  He enjoys helping non-profits develop their web presence and implement social media strategies that allow them to tell their stories and enlarge their community. Dan has a Business degree from Penn State.

In his free-time Dan enjoys going exploring with his two sons, creating culinary masterpieces, reading a good book, camping with his family and learning about new things.  Having been voted best dad of the year for four years running, Dan certainly has his hands full but is never too busy to post to his personal blog.  Last but not least, Dan prefers to work on a Mac and talk on a Droid.
