I'm proud to announce ShinyDoor will not only be managing the social media and encouraging networking among the Ohio Educational Technology Conference 2012 attendees, we are also leading the ShinyYouth Media Team.
Fifteen youth, ranging in age from 14 to 18, which represent Lancaster High School, Spectrum Occupational Center and Bexley Middle School will learn how to cover a large scale event by using low-cost, user-friendly technologies while working collaboratively within a team to accomplish a specifc goal. Conference participants will be approached by this year's conference documentary team as they conduct interviews, write blog posts, record video, and most importantly, learn to create a positive digital footprint for themselves.
We are creating a model project in which youth learn social media responsibility through being responsible for social media.
