Social Networking Connect 201 Sample Agenda

Twitter 201

Below is an example of a Twitter 201 workshop agenda created for a government agency. The class was taught to management and staff. Keep in mind, all classes are customized according to the needs and interests of the client.

Twitter Accounts and Users

Management:

  • List current organization Twitter accounts and owners.
  • Usernames should be consistent with program branding. Easy to change usernames.
  • Anyone on staff who would be interested in tweeting but not for a specific program? @organization_staffname
  • Options for multiple staff tweeting per program.

                     1. All tweet under one account. Sign each tweet.
                     2. Each user has a unique account with similar names:

                                @ProgramName_StaffName

  • List staff with personal Twitter accounts.
  • Review Twitter bios:

Short statement about the Twitter account. Include who is tweeting if space allows.

Staff

  • Different uses of personal accounts and professional accounts.

                    • Personal account does not mean others do not know where you work.
                    • Professional does not mean boring.

Following and Followers

Staff
